| Caption | A ceremony took place today at the War Memorial in Dunkirk where veterans from many nationalities gathered to pay their respects to the fallen soldiers from the evacuation of the beaches at Dunkirk. A number of old veterans were in attendance and the event was well supported by members of the French town. The Big Battlefield Bike Ride 2010 organised by Help for Heroes takes place to raise money for the charity. As part of their 300 mile ride the cyclists, numbering around 300, stopped at a number of battlefields in Northern France during their trip and they joined the service at the memorial as they reached the end of their long but rewarding journey.
