    Notes:

    Laurie MEENAN was one of the greatest jumps jockeys of all time in Victorian horse racing. He was the dominant jumps jockey of the 1940s winning the Grand National Hurdle three times in 1940, 1945 and 1947. He also won the Grand National Steeple on two occasions in 1940 and 1949 and the Great Eastern Steeplechase at Oakbank in South Australia in 1945 riding the champion Winterset. He retired from riding in 1952 and successfully made the transition to a being a trainer at Epson of many successful horses. He retired from training in 1975 and moved to Hoppers Crossing.
