1004 Commissioned in 1909. Served with the 1st., 3rd. and 9th. Light Horse Regiments and with the HQ of the ANZAC Mounted Division in the AIF at Gallipoli and in the Middle East. This distinguished soldier was Mentioned in Despatches on five occasions and was decorated with a DSO toward the end of the war. He also received the Order of Karageorge 4th. class with swords from the King of Serbia. Some records indicate that he also married a Martha Ann ROSE (1824-?) and produced 7 children between 1850 and 1867, all born in Canada. 1033 Craig was educated at Beau Valley Public School, Central Park Senior Public School and O'Neill collegiate and Vocational Institute in Oshawa graduating in 1983. In June 1987, he graduated from McMaster University with a degree in Electrical Engineering, and he obtained a Masters degree from that institution in November, 1988. In January, 1989, he moved to Ottawa obtaining employment with Canadian Astronautics Ltd on Morrison Drive. He lived in an apartment on Greenbank Avenue and one year later purchased a town house nearby at 9 Saxton Private.

After marriage in 1992, he and Tricia continued to live there until April, 1994 when they moved to a detached home at 13 Liveoak Drive, Nepean (Barr Haven).

In November 1992, Craig became employed by BNR on Baseline Road, Ottawa.
