    Mary ROCHE secondly married Richard DONOVAN (shoemaker by trade) who was also a member of the 99th. Regiment very shortly after the demise of her first husband Sgt. John James WESTWOOD in 1845. Upon taking his discharge from the British Army, Richard DONOVAN (c. 1819-1863), joined the Victoria Police Force having a fairly chequered career.
