Second Lieutenant William Henwood JOHNS (1891-1917)

Served during WWI with the NZEF firstly as No. 13/368 Trooper with 4th. (Waikato) Auckland Mounted Rifles and later as a Lieutenant in the NZ Mounted Rifles. Killed-in-action on 31 Oct 1917 at Beersheba Palestine. Lest We Forget.
