Served during WWI with the 1st. Battalion, Devonshire Regiment BEF. Killed-in-action on 27 Aug 1917 in the Guillemont Region, Hauts-de-France FRA. He has no known grave but is honoured on the Thiepval Memorial to the Missing on the Somme. Lest We Forget.
