- Often known as May. Birth registration Mary Anderson FLANDERS, daughter of Janet FLANDERS and Archibald ANDERSON. The parents married in 1896. It appears that Mary first married in 1915, Robert McMullen TAYLOR (who died in Ballarat VIC in 1957, aged 65) and presumably she was divorced prior to her marriage in 1925 (as May Flanders TAYLOR) to William ECKHARDT.
The divorce is listed in the PROVIC Index to Divorce Cause Book (VPRS 5335, Unit 4) as Petitioner: May TAYLOR, Respondent: Robert McMullen TAYLOR, No: 454 of 1923. It appears that the divorce became absolute as follows:
