Business Man Dies Aged 66
A veteran insurance man in Calgary, Wilfred Lane, 66, died Friday.
Mr. Lane was active in the firm founded by his father, Charles E. Lane, General Insurance, for almost half a century before retiring in 1962.
He served in both world wars. Mr. Lane was a member of Christ Church and Zetland Lodge No. 83 AF and AM and an honorary member of King's Own Calgary Regiment. He is survived by his wife, Beth.
Ven. G. Hasten Dowker, DD, will officiate at the 1:30 p.m. service Monday at Jacques funeral home. Burial will be in Burnsland cemetery.
