Viscount Plumer (1857-1932) who was one of the few British generals whose reputation was enhanced by his service during WWI. The life and service of No. 6492, Pte. Walter Russell CHING (1896-1917), 23 Battalion, Australian Infantry, AIF is to be found here on Panel 23. Killed in action somewhere on the Ypres Salient on 8 Oct 1917. Lest We Forget.
